Professor Andy Parker

Research Interests

I am the current Head of the Cavendish Laboratory. I am a particle physicist working on fundamental questions at CERN. I also have interests in artificial photosynthesis and other areas of energy/sustainability via the Winton program for the Physics of Sustainability. I have worked on Big Data projects and that has led to collaborations with Addenbrookes Oncology Department to use particle physics methods in radiation therapy for cancer. I have an interest in public policy for science and innovation and engage regularly via CSaP with its Fellows.
