Research Interests
My research interests span comparative politics, European studies and international relations. I'm interested in the changing structure and dynamics of European politics, with a particular focus on the transformation of European states from nation-states to member states. I'm also interested in the contemporary crisis of party politics and the challenges to European party systems. I've worked in particular on the relationship between populism, technocracy and party democracy in Europe and beyond.
